“The co-operation between Masterplast and the Foundation for Hungarian Child Ambulance started five years ago. In the meantime, we could enrich the equipment of the child paramedics with different tools that can be used to provide professional and fast medical assistance. With a contribution of building materials and professional know-how, our company helps build the station as soon as possible and in the best quality.” recalls Balázs Ács, the Vice President of our company.
“Lots of families with young children spend their holiday in Balatonlelle, including those with children with heart disease or epilepsy, because they are aware of the child ambulance service operated here”, said Eva Gesztesi, General Manager of the Foundation.
The General Manager told the National News Agency that the child ambulance station, being completed by summer 2021, will be operating in conjunction with the ambulance station of the city. The 140-square-meter building will serve as a station for the child ambulance personnel, where an examination room will also be set to care those do not need emergency treatment.
With the child ambulances operated by our Foundation 32,000 children received medical treatment throughout our country in the past 15 years. The emergency vehicles have been present in Balatonlelle for 13 years, and provided care for 4,000 children and infants.
“The National Ambulance Service provides assistance for 1,2 million patients, including 45,000 children every year”, said Gábor Csató, Director General of the National Ambulance Service. “It is essential that an extra ambulance is operated around Lake Balaton from spring to autumn. At the child ambulance station the heroes and heroines of National Ambulance Service can fulfill their duty in safety and dignity” – he added.
