The donation was handed over within the framework of “Let’s save the lives of children together!” established by the Hungarian subsidiary of Masterplast in 2015.
Masterplast Hungary Ltd., within its traditional year-end supporter campaign, has allocated five-five forints after each highlighted and sold meter or square meter of dry-construction product and donated the amount to the Hungarian Child Rescue Foundation. With this action, they managed to collect six and a half million forints, contributing to the purchase of a new ambulance.
In the last 17 years, nearly 40.000 lives of infants and children were saved by the dedicated work of doctors and nurses of the Hungarian Child Rescue Foundation, but this time they need our help, as two out of six of their ambulances are out of order.
“We provide emergency care and transportation with these vehicles in several locations nationwide. Unfortunately, the vehicles are exposed to a great extent of utilization as in recent years we have saved 40.000 infants and young children. Currently, two of our ambulances are out of order; therefore, we wish to buy new ones to continue providing emergency care.” – added Dr Éva Gesztes, professional director of the Hungarian Child Rescue Foundation.
The paediatric ambulances are allocated to hospitals. Alerts within the institute help the specialized utilization of the staff’s free time, the continuous tracking of patients, the smooth patient handover, and the professional approach. With the establishment of the Balatonlelle station in 2022, a dream came true. The foundation provides the operation and maintenance of the paediatric ambulance vehicle and free first aid trainings nationwide from sums won through tenders. The foundation, along with its recuse activities and emergency care, is pioneering in finding and spreading new equipment and procedures. It also places a strong emphasis on training in first aid.
“The work of the Hungarian Child Rescue Foundation is essential to our partners and us. We were glad to be able to help their work within the framework of our traditional campaign.” – said László Pécsi, director of Masterplast Hungary Ltd.
