Materplast’s most prominent and fastest-growing manufacturing base is in the Serbian city of Subotica. In this manufacturing complex, we produce industrial glass fiber products, EPS polystyrene, and profiles complementing the ETICS systems in a quality that meets European standards. To maintain high quality, stable product supply, and competitive services, a team of 880 employees works at the site.
Since 2015, our German production plant featuring the traditional and most up-to-date technologies has been established due to large-scale investment focusing on product development. The unit has a 100 million square meters/annum capacity and made Materplast Europe’s third largest manufacturer. Due to increasing demand in the market, new capacity expansion became necessary; therefore, since 2022, Masterplasr carries on production in Szabadka with a capacity of 150 million square meters/annum and is the second largest fiberglass mesh manufacturer in Europe. The plant, manufacturing fiberglass mesh product portfolio for the construction and industrial industry, provides reliable product supply and European quality standards for Masterplast and its customers through its flexible manufacturing services.
The EPS polystyrene manufacturing unit using modern, eco-friendly German technology was established in 2008, and the ETICS systems’ EPS insulating core and other structural engineering insulation product solutions are produced here. The increasing brand popularity of our HUNGAROCELL and ISOMASTER EPS products is the recognition of our quality aspirations.
We manufacture European quality standard compliant reinforcement mesh corner protector profiles for facade thermal insulation systems.
We improved our thermal insulation product supply chain with one of the most rapidly expanding insulation types. The use of XPS polystyrene is increasingly growing due to the demands of modern architecture and the more restraining energy efficiency rules. With this development, we make manufacturing a new strategically important product possible with which we can decrease our vulnerability on the market and provide supply from our in-house resources as the largest Hungarian-owned construction material producer. The 5,05 billion Forint worth modern, eco-friendly plant in Subotica will operate from 2023 with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters/annum.
