The Masterplast Group is committed to responsible corporate governance and to sustainable operation. Social responsibility is an integral part of how the company works: alongside economic performance it sets the creation of social and environmental value as an important goal. Its CSR activities contribute to the development of local communities, strengthen employee commitment, and support the company’s long-term, value-based operation.

Masterplast carries out its CSR activities across the whole operating area of the Group, and the programmes are financed out of its profitable operation. In order for the aid to always get to the right place at the right time, this should all be done in a transparent way; Masterplast implements its social responsibility action based on carefully worded principles. Accordingly, the Group follows strict ethical norms in its donation activities, and it expects the same from all its employees. Support decisions are made based on professional, strategic and ethical guidelines. The company strives to shape its donation strategy, so as to serve the interests of value creation both for the whole of society and also for the Group.

In 2022 Masterplast Nyrt. became a member of BCSDH — the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary. BCSDH is a community of companies committed to sustainable development, working together to accelerate the transformation of the systems needed for a climate-neutral, nature-positive and more equitable future. Masterplast endorses BCSDH’s principles of responsible corporate management and applies them in its day-to-day operation.

Environmental protection and sustainable thinking

Masterplast's core activity is directly linked to climate protection goals, since its products contribute to reducing the energy use of buildings. Spreading sustainable thinking in construction practice is an important goal for the company. To that end it supports the spread of circular economy solutions, and in its own operation it works to increase resource efficiency and to reduce its environmental impact.

Supporting local communities

Masterplast attaches particular importance to contributing, through its presence, to the development of local communities. The aim of its support is to improve the quality of life of the local population, to develop community infrastructure and to strengthen social cohesion.

Sport and a healthy lifestyle

The company considers the support of sport and a healthy lifestyle important. Masterplast provides opportunities for its employees to do sport, and it also supports the activities of local communities and of national sports organisations.

Professional and educational programmes

Promoting the sustainable development of the construction industry is a priority area for the company. This includes developing the outlook of the construction profession, educational partnerships, and support for the sharing of professional knowledge.

It is of high priority for the Company Group to be involved in the economic and social life of its immediate environment, not only as an employer, but also as a sponsor to aid the work of foundations and associations which take on a social role.

Featured CSR programmes

Masterplast works together with the Lámpás ’92 Foundation, which has been providing family-style housing and development programmes for people living with disabilities for more than three decades. The company supports the foundation’s residential home development programme, primarily by providing the thermal insulation systems and building materials needed for energy efficiency modernisation. The support is linked to the “Szívből meleget” (Warmth from the heart) programme, whose aim is to help the foundation’s residential homes operate sustainably and energy-efficiently. Masterplast has contributed to the energy renovation of several residential homes and to the realisation of new housing projects, and in 2025 the Lámpás ’92 Foundation awarded the company the LAURUS prize for this support.

The Company has joined the supporters of the KÉPES scheme, which was brought into being in 2013 by Székesfehérvár companies, as well as Székesfehérvár City Council. The aim of the initiative designated KÉPES (i.e. the Community Value Creation Scheme – Together for Székesfehérvár!) is for the corporate sphere and the city council to join together to meet challenges waiting for solutions, thus creating lasting value for the local community. Masterplast provides support for the scheme projects in the form of products and expertise, and the team of company employees is involved in the challenges on a voluntary basis. The projects carried out under the scheme are primarily the renovation and development of kindergartens and schools.

The company has operated from its central site in Sárszentmihály since 2002, and has been an active supporter of the community life of the village ever since. It has contributed to a number of local developments, among them community infrastructure, the creation of a playground, and the renovation of the kindergarten and the doctor’s surgery.

Masterplast has taken a pioneering role in establishing the circular economy model in the Hungarian construction industry. The aim of the programme is to return the unused cut EPS and XPS material arising during the recycling and use of thermal insulation materials into circulation.

The company supports the spread of environmentally conscious thinking through many smaller initiatives as well, such as tree planting programmes, nature conservation campaigns, selective waste collection projects, and reducing the use of single-use plastics.

Masterplast also supports the health of its employees. The company provides opportunities for sport, supports community sports programmes, and supports its employees’ participation in various sporting events.

The company has long supported the widening of amateur sporting opportunities in cooperation with the National Minifootball Federation, and contributes to the development of young Hungarian sporting talent through its support of the BOM for Hungarian Sport Foundation. At regional level Masterplast is also a supporter of the Hydro Fehérvár AV19 ice hockey club.

For many years Masterplast supported the work of the Hungarian Save the Children Foundation. Within the collaboration the company contributed with financial donations and partner campaigns to the acquisition of special child rescue diagnostic and teaching equipment. In the “Let’s save the children together” drive Masterplast collected funds for the foundation together with its partners, and it launched first aid training programmes for educators. The company also supported the creation of the child ambulance station in Balatonlelle, contributing to the infrastructure of the child ambulance service operating in the Lake Balaton region.

The social responsibility activity of the Masterplast Group appears in the operation of its subsidiaries as well. The companies operating in the various countries support civil, educational, sporting and community initiatives in line with the needs of local communities, contributing to the development of those regions and to the strengthening of the company’s responsible operation.

Educational and professional partnerships

Supporting the next generation of construction professionals is of particular importance to Masterplast. As part of this it has begun a partnership with the Jáky József Technical School of the Székesfehérvár Vocational Training Centre, in the course of which a modern digital classroom was created with the company’s support. There students can acquire up-to-date professional knowledge of the construction industry using BIM design and 3D node printing technologies.

Masterplast’s Serbian subsidiary is likewise an active participant in local community life in Subotica. The company supports civil organisations, cultural and sports programmes, and cooperates with the Subotica Tech – College of Applied Sciences, where a number of students complete their professional practice at the company and can then begin their career with the Group.

The social responsibility programmes of the Masterplast Group have a positive effect on the life of the community, on the Company’s employees and on the Company’s business reputation. The sustainability and employer awards won over the years also confirm the social usefulness of the Company’s programmes.
